Why use a WCS Split System?
Let's explore a few of the reasons to choose Wine Cellar Services' "Split System" cooling over a self contained unit.
A split system allows matching of components to the specific requirements of the job for operating economy and enhanced humidity balance.
These advantages are provided by eliminating the need to use oversized or undersized equipment.
Remote mounting of the condensing unit is beneficial for multiple reasons. Operational sounds are kept outside of sensitive areas. It
limits the operating temperatures generated by equipment within the space being cooled. This also makes available more valuable space
in the room, allowing for additional racking or storage.
Designed placement of the coils also has many benefits. Coils can be incorporated into the racking or décor so well they almost
disappear. The coils are not subject to being confined within a case holding everything else. Why does this matter?
- The coils do not have to battle the operating temperatures of the other components of the system.
- The coils are able to have a greater total surface area. The more surface area, the more cooling done, and the more efficient the resulting balanced humidity.
